What does WIST Extension stand for?
|
WIST Extension stands for, the West Indies School of
Theology Extension Division. This is a branch of the West Indies School of
Theology, and offers the Certificate Program.

What is the difference between WIST and WIST Extension?
|
WIST is the main campus and parent body of WIST
Extension.
WIST main campus offers the Bachelor Degrees and Diplomas in
Interdisciplinary Studies, while WIST Extension Division offers the
Certificate in Bible and Theology.

What is the Certificate in Practical Ministry?
|
The Certificate in Practical Ministry is a one (1) year
program designed to equip individuals with skills that enable them to
meaningfully contribute to the church and community.
It involves theoretical (face-to-face) sessions and
practical activities conducted in the local church.

What areas does the Certificate cover?
|
Presently, the program facilitates Majors/Emphases:

Where are you located?
|
There are seven (7) WIST Extension Campuses located in
North Trinidad: Arima, Arouca, Curepe, Couva, Londgville, Port of Spain and
Sangre Grande.

Persons
over the age of 17 years.
Persons
who have been saved for two (2) or more years.
Persons
obtaining a Pastor’s
Recommendation

How long is the program?
|
The program has a one (1) year duration. It comprises three
(3) trimesters; each semester lasting an average thirteen (13) weeks.

What are the courses offered?
|
The courses offered are, Old Testament Survey, New
Testament Survey, Theology I, Theology II, Evangelism, Christian Education,
Introduction to Counseling, Biblical Leadership, Homiletics, Hermeneutics,
PAWI Polity and World Religion.

How can a person register?
|
Persons can access registration forms online or from any
of the campus sites.
Complete all registration requirements (including
Pastor’s Recommendation) for acceptance.
